Police Obtain Search Warrant For Prince's Home
To investigate drugs and or medical information in the estate.
Just a week after music icon Prince died at his Paisley Park home in Minneapolis, police have now obtained a search warrant for the estate for evidence that may help with the death investigation.
As TMZ reports, the warrant was issued hours ago in Carver County, Minnesota, and police are reportedly searching the home for drugs, prescriptions and medical information, following speculation that the late musician had a Percocet addiction for many years and was allegedly in possession of prescription painkillers.
The sheriff's office wish to keep information in the warrant confidential as "premature disclosure of the details provided in the search warrant and its accompanying documents may compromise this law enforcement investigation by causing the search or related searches to be unsuccessful."

The news comes in the wake of Prince's family announcing plans for the famous Paisley Park estate to be turned into a museum.
Meanwhile, Prince is expected to dominate the ARIA Albums and Singles charts when results are released tomorrow, with midweek figures showing that his works could very well return to the #1 position, including his acclaimed 1984 album, Purple Rain.
Prince was found dead in an elevator at his compound and a cause of death won't be confirmed for at least four weeks after an autopsy was completed just a day after.
Police confirmed at a press conference that there were "no signs of obvious trauma", nor were there indications of suicide.
