Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Celebrates Ten Years

Darwin will be hosting its 10th Aboriginal Art Fair this August which showcases the work of thousands of remote artists.

For the milestone the festival with be doubling in size. The expansion includes a fashion runway, a panel discussion and a special Indigenous film festival at the iconic Deskchair Cinema.

Taking place from 5-7 August, the new DAAF Runway Project with marry together the contemporary fine art that the festival is known for with textile designs. These creations will be shown off on the catwalk.

Other new addition the panel discussions will be held at the Darwin Convention Centre. The panel will discuss modern ideas and issues surrounding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art.
