Dro Carey Signs To Soothsayer Ahead Of New EP Release

Sydney-based producer Dro Carey (aka Eugene Ward) has signed with Soothsayer, with the emergent muso set to release his new EP Dark Zoo through the label on Friday, 20 May.

Ward joins Melbourne cult favourite Roland Tings as the new Mushroom imprint's first signings, and the pair recently played at Soothsayer's '0th Birthday Party' launch. 

With fresh single Queensberry Rules (feat. Kucka) newly premiered overnight, Carey has demonstrated that he's not only a thoughtful and intelligent composer, but knows how to pick collaborators sure to deliver winning combinations, as the pair's combined efforts have delivered one of the year's tastiest team-ups so far.

Landing somewhere between house, grime and electronica, Dro Carey has carved out a unique sound, and Dark Zoo sees him push the boundaries of musical convention yet again.
