The latest results are in!
The second radio ratings for 2016 are in and the results are interesting to say the least — Triple J's breakfast duo Matt & Alex have enjoyed some big bumps in Sydney, while 2DayFM's latest experiment in Rove & Sam has again hit a wall and failed to make any impact on the competition.

In a remarkable turn of events Matt & Alex have leapfrogged a number of their competitors to sit behind only the usual-FM breakfast heavyweights in KIIS' Kyle & Jackie O (11.3) and WSFM's Jonesy & Amanda (8.0) to claim a share of 7.1, up 1.3 from the last outing. The youth broadcaster also beat out popular breakfast shows in Nova 96.9's Fitzy & Wippa (6.1) and Triple M's The Grill Team (6.9).
Meanwhile Rove & Sam have yet again bombed in the ratings with a share of 3.0, the exact figure from the previous survey, which will no doubt raise many questions as to how much longer the once-booming network will continue on with the breakfast line-up, if the results do not improve fast.
After the huge results in Sydney, triple j in Melbourne unfortunately took a hit in the breakfast slot, dropping from a share of 5.4 to 4.6, while the overall share for the station was just as disappointing with decreases in all categories — the biggest coming in the drive slot, with a drop of 3.6 from the first survey of 2016 to take a share of 5.1.
Fox FM's Hamish & Andy yet again held onto the #1 FM drive slot in the state, maintaining a share of 10.5, cruising past rival stations KIIS 101.1 (8.8) and Nova 100 (8.6).
Brisbane's Hit 105.3 enjoyed a very solid outing this time around, enjoying increases in all categories, including a big jump for Hamish & Andy's drive show, with an increase of 2.1, to claim a whopping 14.6 share.
Triple J's big turn around in Brisbane was short-lived however, with some significant drops, including a devastating 3.5 decrease in the drive slot, to take out an 8.0 share.
97.3 FM won the FM breakfast wars with a share of 13.5 (up 1.9 from survey #1) while the drive slot also made a big jump of 2.3 to claim a 13.6 share.
The drive slot was again the most damaging for triple j, which took a massive drop of 3.7 to take out a share of 6.9.
Nova 91.9 won out breakfast (10.9) and drive (13.7) amongst its competitors, even though drive took a slight hit of 0.5, to nudge out Hamish & Andy on Hit 107, who held a share of 13.6.
Adelaide's Triple M also saw increases across the board, the most significant being Merrick & Australia in the drive slot with a jump of 2.1 to clinch a 12.3 share and the weekend slot which increased to a 9.9 share.
Next to Sydney, Perth's triple j enjoyed the best results in all categories (excluding drive) with breakfast getting a boost of 1.6 to hold a share of 10.6 while the morning brought in an impressive share of 12.0.
FM breakfast was won out by Nova 93.7 who pulled a 14.4 share, ahead of Mix 94.5 with 12.0.
The roles reversed for drive however, with Mix enjoying a huge share of 15.2, just barely ahead of Nova with 15.0.
