Thelma Plum, Urthboy and Julia Stone will be performing
Australian charity Support Act have announced that Paul Kelly will be honoured next month with a charity award for his outstanding services to the music community, at a Music In The House lunch.
With Andrew Denton hosting the event and Julia Stone, Thelma Plum and Urthboy confirmed to perform (as well as Kelly himself), previous recipients of the award include John Butler, Jimmy Barnes and Russell Morris for their efforts in enriching the Australian music community.
The event will honour Kelly's 21 studio albums — including his latest Shakespeare-influenced work Seven Sonnets & A Song — and the impact he's made on the Australian musical landscape over his three decade career.
Support Act is a completely self-funded charity that aids music professionals in crisis. Support Act's CEO Joanna Cave says, "Music is the House, our most important fundraising event, will be very special this year featuring the legendary Paul Kelly with performances in his honour from some of Australia's most exciting young artists."
