“We wish [Brian Johnson] all the best with his hearing issues and future ventures."
After weeks of speculation, AC/DC have confirmed that Axl Rose will join them on their rescheduled Rock Or Bust World Tour dates, kicking off next month.
Rose replaces Brian Johnson on 12 upcoming European shows, after the longtime frontman was reportedly “kicked to the curb” due to hearing issues that meant he had to stop touring immediately.
Rumours of the Guns N' Roses vocalist joining the band hit boiling point at the end of March when he was spotted leaving the same rehearsal space as the AC/DC, and they have now announced via their website that Rose is indeed joining them for the remainder of the tour.
“We are dedicated to fulfilling the remainder of our touring commitments to everyone that has supported us over the years, and are fortunate that Axl Rose has kindly offered his support to help us fulfill this commitment,” a statement read.

The announcement also thanked Johnson for his efforts in the band.
"AC/DC band members would like to thank Brian Johnson for his contributions and dedication to the band throughout the years.
“We wish him all the best with his hearing issues and future ventures. As much as we want this tour to end as it started, we understand, respect and support Brian's decision to stop touring and save his hearing.”
The Rock Of Bust tour continues on May 7 in Lisbon, Portugal before Rose meets up with Guns N' Roses for their Not In This Lifetime Summer stadium tour.
AC/DC are currently rescheduling their 10 postponed US tour dates too, which will also feature Rose on vocals.
