Deftones Land Top Spot On ARIA Charts

Californian alt-metal icons Deftones have come out on top of the ARIA Albums Charts this week, picking up #1 with their first record in four years, Gore.

The feat marks the band's highest chart position since 2000's commercially successful White Pony landed at #2.

Folk rockers The Lumineers have landed the week's next highest debut at #2 (and the only other top #10 debut) with Cleopatra, breaking their own ARIA chart record of #7 with 2012's self-titled album.

Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals narrowly missed out on the top 10 with Call It What It Is settling on #11, while M83's Junk honed in on #12. Other debuts this week include Zakk Wylde's Book Of Shadows II at #44, Frightened Rabbit's Painting Of A Panic Attack at #56, The Dandy Warhols' Distortland at #57, Halfway's The Golden Halfway Record at #62, Citipointe Live's Into The Deep at #63, Josh Groban's Stages (Live) at #76 and All Saints' Red Flag at #77.

Meanwhile, over on the Singles Chart, Danish artist Lukas Graham has finally been toppled from his #1 position for eight straight weeks (pushing him down to #5) by Gnash featuring Olivia O'Brien with I Hate U, I Love U.

Interestingly, no single debuts charted in the top 50 this week, with Will.i.am's Boys & Girls the week's highest debut at #53. What So Not and Brissy songstress Joy. scored the week's highest local debut with Lone at #67.
