The Cure, The Strokes Lead Splendour In The Grass 2016 Line-up

After considerable amounts of speculation and a few fake-outs, the 2016 Splendour In The Grass line-up has landed, with legendary UK outfit The Cure, celebrated rockers The Strokes and Aussie electro whiz Flume and being named atop the year's incredible bill of acts.

As announced on triple j's Breakfast with Matt & Alex this morning, also down to party at Byron this July are the likes of local vets Boy & Bear and long-dormant outfit The Avalanches — for the first time live in forever — as well as reunited post-hardcore icons At The Drive-In, Aussie indie royalty Courtney Barnett, post-rock luminaries Sigur Ros, James Blake, Santigold, Jake Bugg, The Kills, The Internet and many more.

The local contingent is further bolstered by the presence of return and debut guests such as Violent Soho, Urthboy, Hermitude, Matt Corby, Illy, Ball Park Music, The Preatures, Gang Of Youths, Sticky Fingers, DMA's, Remi, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, WAFIA, Methyl Ethel, Sampa The Great, Jagwar Ma, City Calm Down and a whole bunch more, in addition to the usual festival fare spread around the luscious grounds.
