Not a bad first effort.
After a string of EP's and hit singles, Sydney songwriter Matt Corby may be set to mark another milestone in his career, as his debut studio album Telluric is primed to take out the #1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart.
The 25-year-old singer's first offering in three years may also be his best since 2011, when his fourth EP, Into The Flames, peaked at #3.
It appears that the only threat to Corby's top placing is the late Jeff Buckley's new compilation album, You & I, which will likely finish in the top three this week, as well as Killswitch Engage's Incarnate, set to crack the top five.
Other album debuts this week include Alessia Cara's Know It All, Bethel Music's Have It All (Live), 3 Doors Down with Us & The Night, Brian Fallon's Painkillers, Sara Storer and Silos, Bluesfest act Melissa Etheridge's This Is Me and Flatbush Zombies' 3001: A Laced Odyssey.
