The ex-Black Flag frontman will bring his first all-talking affair since 2012 Down Under this September

More Henry Rollins More Henry Rollins

Iconic musician, activist and speaker Henry Rollins will embark on his first all-talking tour of Australia since 2012 this September when he brings An Evening With Henry Rollins to the country.

The extensive jaunt lasts almost the entire month, getting under way at the Blue Mountains Theatre & Community Hub, Springwood, on Friday 2 September, and rolling through stages in Milton, Canberra, Wollongong, Newcastle, Darwin, Lismore, Brisbane (two performances), Hobart, Melbourne (two performances, his first ever at the Arts Centre Melbourne's State Theatre), Alice Springs, Adelaide, Perth (two performances) and Margaret River, where he utters his final syllables at the Margaret River Cultural Centre on Sunday 25 September.

Sydney-based fans are no doubt double-checking that list for their show details; while no such event has yet been announced, we're assured that "a special show announcement" is on the cards "in the coming weeks", so remain vigilant, because your chance will come!

Tickets for all shows — Rollins' first in the country since winning the prestigious Ray Bradbury Creativity Award for services to the arts in 2014, so there's even an added air of elegance to the whole affair — will go on sale from 9am local time this Friday, 11 March, via Feel Presents.
