"What’s held this event together is the community backing of it," Chandler said.
"It means so much to the Gympie area but it also means a lot to the country music community in terms of the artists and industry. Its got a great legacy and a great history of raising money for the charities and the community and general."
The Gympie Muster has raised in excess of $15 million for charities nation-wide since its inception.
"Instead of every single service on site being provided or given to a commercial operator...[the money goes] to different community groups," he explained, adding, "They can fundraise more in one Muster than they can 100 lemington raffles."
Tickets for the festival, which includes four day camping, are available now and can be purchased via the Gympie Muster website.
