Because why wouldn't this happen?
Australian pop icon Kylie Minogue is set to be embroiled in a legal stoush with reality TV star Kylie Jenner as the singer has officially opposed Jenner's move to trademark the term 'Kylie'.
According to WIPR, Australian-based business KDB, who are representing Minogue, filed a notice of opposition to the application last Monday, for which Jenner is seeking ownership of the name for advertising services.
KDB argue that the move would cause confusion amongst fans of both Minogue and Jenner if the US Patent and Trademark Office approve the application.
Furthermore, they have described Jenner as a "secondary reality television personality" and that the trademark would dilute their brands.

Minogue already owns the trademark for the terms ‘Kylie Minogue darling’, ‘Lucky – the Kylie Minogue musical’ and ‘Kylie Minogue’.
The application has been up for opposition since August last year and interestingly, Jenner is additionally seeking to trademark the name for entertainment purposes, which can now also be opposed.
