Wu-Tang Clan Weighed In On The Lockouts During Their Sydney Show Last Night

Everyone living in Sydney has an opinion on the contentious lockout laws and it seems that the hot topic is garnering interest from people overseas as hip hop legends Wu-Tang Clan addressed the legislation during their show at Hordern Pavilion last night. 

As The Daily Telegraph reports, group member RZA announced to the crowd towards the end of their show that their official party would be taking place in Bondi, thanks to the "crazy laws".

"We heard y’all got some new laws," the rapper said.

"We going to get these laws changed for y’all."

Promoter of the Australian tour, Beyond The Valley's Nicholas Greco said because of the lockout laws, they were left with few choices as to where to host the afterparty. 

"As inner Sydney is held hostage by these ridiculous lockout laws we held the Wu-Tang Clan afterparty in Bondi Junction at Jam Gallery so the guys could actually get in when they rocked up."

Meanwhile, Kogorah Labor MP Chris Minns, a supporter of abandoning the lockouts, echoed the rap group's comments. 

"I don’t normally get my policy advice from a man named Ghostface Killah but on this one he is right," Minns said. 

"These laws need to be changed."

The news comes just days after an estimated 15,000 people marched Sydney's streets in support of the Keep Sydney Open rally ahead of an independent review of the laws.
