And no it wasn't named after THAT famous toddler
The Pilbara region's premier music event, North West Festival, has announced its return this year for its fifth iteration of the weekender jaunt of music, culture and good times.
As always, the festival will take on its three-day format from Friday, 19 August to Sunday, 21 August, with Port Hedland's mayor Kelly Howlett offering her blessings and commitment for this year's festival.
"We know it’s a much loved event for our community and brings not only hundreds of visitors to town, but also world-class music acts. Last year we were spoilt with Birds of Tokyo, Peking Duk, Angus and Julia Stone, British India and The Preatures.
"Where else in the world can you see leading Australian acts on the backdrop of the world’s largest bulk export port combined with a weekend of arts, culture and fun."
With a line-up, fringe events and locations to come in the next few months, keep on top of the announcements here.
