Prince Melbourne Afterparty Draws Massive Crowds

He's renowned for keeping details to his exclusive afterparties under wraps until the last minute and though he kept everyone guessing on Twitter all night, Melbourne fans in the know showed up in droves to the party which was held at the Docklands overnight.

Thanks to a Facebook update posted at around 11pm last night, the Aria Bar & Events venue was revealed to be the host of the much sought-after function.

As the Facebook post read, accompanied by pictures of the bar illuminated by purple lighting, "Aria is purple for a reason tonight Can you guess ? ? Someone is having a party tonight."

While the venue did not share any updates from inside the bar, they did upload pictures of punters lining up at the venue even after 3am.

Earlier this morning the venue capped off the huge night with a status that read, "Well done team Aria Official after party with the man him self PRINCE what a vibe Prince you are a true gentle Man much respect !!!"

The only comment Prince made about the afterparty came earlier this morning on Twitter, when he responded to a fan who claimed he shared danced with the iconic singer.

The party took place after his final two performances at Melbourne's State Theatre last night — click here for our review of his show on Tuesday night.

He will now head to Sydney to perform on Saturday and Sunday night.
