Full Program For White Night Revealed

From suspended gowns to contemporary dance.

White Night Melbourne is a a dusk 'til dawn celebration of culture and creativity, and they've just announced their program for the 2016 event on Saturday 20 February 2016 from 7pm to 7am. 

The night streets will be transformed into artistic expressions and cultural wonders, from themes ranging from the environment to fashion and audience interaction.

Some notable events include:

The Dresses - From French artist Tae Gon Kim comes The Dresses: hundreds of fibre-optic strands shaped into three extravagant gowns suspended in the darkness, slowly changing colour to symbolise history and transformation over time.

Skate White Night All Night - Held at Riverslide Skate Park, Melbourne artists and skateboarders will collaborate on a new theatre show called SKATE, bringing together projectionists, percussionists, lighting and sound to Riverslide...  bring your skateboard.

Urban Creatures - The City Square Fountain is set to be transformed by animators from the Victorian College of Art and heavy dance beats, inviting all who pass through to dance the night away with a colourful array of animated characters.
