Former Soundwave general manager Chris O'Brien has today been announced as the new General Manager Of Touring for leading Australian promoter Destroy All Lines.

Over the past two decades, O'Brien has covered numerous facets of the music industry including being at the helm of a record label, countless music venues, a booking agency and of course overseeing Soundwave since its inception in 2007 until it folded late last year, as well as the 2014 Vans Warped Tour and Harvest Festival.

"I am thrilled to be heading up this passionate team of music lovers with a renewed core focus to work alongside our artists to continually develop and nurture their careers within Australia," O'Brien said of the appointment.

"It’s also an incredible opportunity to be working alongside industry leaders in Chugg Entertainment."

"The addition of his knowledge, experience and leadership means 2016 is off to a great start for Destroy All Lines," Turnbull said.

Destroy All Lines have been an ongoing contributor to Australia's live music scene for over 13 years, having toured a number of huge acts including Descendents, All Time Low, Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society and many more.

The news comes just weeks after O'Brien launched his own management company, What A Vibe.
