NYC Afro-Cuban Band Ola Fresca For Sydney In Oct

Sporting their new crowdfunded album

, Brooklyn-based Afro-Cuban octet,
Ola Fresca
, will be performing a Sydney sideshow before their Darling Harbour Fiesta Festival performances

Winners of the Best Latin Album in the 2008 Independent Music Awards for (R)Evolucion, the band is now into their 11th year together, weaving together the sounds of Cuban son, salsa, timba and funk. The New York Post described them as "one of New York's most intriguing voices in Afro-Caribbean music."
