Jeremy Davis, founding member and bassist of Franklin, Tennessee pop punk outfit Paramore, has just announced that he's leaving the band.
Posted on the band's Facebook page, a statement reads, "In moving forward, there is growth, pain, and change... and sometimes the change is not at all what you hoped for. We’ve written and re-written this countless times and there’s just not a good way to put it... Jeremy is no longer going to be in the band with us."
Paramore write, "To be honest, this has been really painful." It leaves Paramore with just Hayley Williams and Taylor York, who was added as a permanent member in 2007.
The departure comes five years on from founding members Josh and Zac Farro also leaving the band, followed by claims from the Farros that the band had become a "manufactured product of a major-label".
