It kinda made up for the downpour

Our sympathy aside for the thousands of people caught in the Sydney electrical storm last night, punters at Ed Sheeran's Allianz Stadium show were duly rewarded for their wetness with a performance for the history books. Sheeran brought out English legend Sir Elton John, along with a mammoth grand piano, to sing two duets with him.
As expected, the 48,000 strong crowd go wild as Sir Elton John steps out with his trademark circular glasses and a sequinned suit, with Sheeran explaining, "He wanted to do one of my songs, and I wanted to do one of his. So here's both."
The two duetted for classic karaoke track Don't Go Breaking My Heart (and yes, Sheeran was Kiki Dee) and then Sheeran's own Afire Love, having performed the former together earlier this year at Wembley Stadium.
Sir Elton John is currently in the country for his All The Hits tour, having performed in Brisbane on Tuesday night and taking to Melbourne's Rod Laver on Friday. He is the co-founder of artist management company Rocket Music, which Sheeran is signed to.
