The New York maestro will hit Sydney and Melbourne next year
Lauded veteran guitarist Lucky Peterson has expanded his impending performance commitments Down Under, adding to his forthcoming showing at next year's Bluesfest with the revelation of two standalone sideshows in March.
With a fire in the belly that would put some of his younger contemporaries to shame, Peterson has spent several decades (and 18 albums) winning fans with his brand of blues/soul/R&B/rock'n'roll tunes, first unveiled to the world in 1969 at the tender age of five years old. In the time since, he's racked up an incredible live reputation as well as experience shoulder-to-shoulder with giants such as Etta James, Mavis Staples, Bobby 'Blue' Bland and Little Milton.
It's been a considerable stretch between drinks for Aussie fans of the multi-instrumentalist and certified legend, but the wait is almost over — Lucky Peterson will perform a headline show at Melbourne's Northcote Social Club on Monday 21 March, following it up with a spot at The Basement, Sydney, on 22 March.
Tickets for both shows will go on sale from 10am AEDT via Bluesfest Touring. For more information, see the Bluesfest page under the Festivals tab, or check theGuide or The Music App for sideshow details.
