Tasmania's nascent boutique festival returns in March

Next year's A Festival Called PANAMA event continues to take shape, with organisers today revealing the second cabal of acclaimed acts set to join the existing line-up — boasting drawcards such as Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, Natalie Prass, Marlon Williams & The Yarra Benders and more — in Tasmania's Lone Star Valley this coming March.

The fresh additions have the way led by celebrated troubadour C.W. Stoneking, along with Grammy-nominated Aussie neo-soul luminaries Hiatus Kaiyote. Also joining the festivities will be The CreasesSlum SociableBrian CampeauSuperfeatherMachine AgeEmma Anglesea & Tash ParkerScott Carrier's Home Of The Brave (featuring author and Peabody-winning radio producer Scott Carrier, known for his work with NPR and This American Life, as well as a podcast of the same name as this stage show) and Tigerlil's Cabaret Of Living Wonders.

A Festival Called PANAMA returns to Lone Star Valley from 11-13 March 2016, and promises to transform the serene surrounds into a hub of culture, canvas, candles, cabaret, concerts, and — above all — celebration.

Tickets for 2016's A Festival Called PANAMA event will go on sale from Tuesday 1 December, though only 1250 will be available, and previous attendees and mailing list members get first run before the general release. Considering last year's event sold out, we can only expect to see a similar kind of reception for this year's passes once they're made available, so do what you can (short of straight-up identity theft) to ensure you have a shot at getting through the gates.
