Team Oz! Yeah!
Doing our country proud once again, six more homegrown acts have been added to next year's South By Southwest (SXSW) as part of their second round of artists, bringing the total of Aussie acts on the showcase bill up to ten.
Among those announced is Melburnian singer/songwriter Ben Abraham, Brissy electro/indie quartet Nite Fields, Melbourne folk/pop band Oh Pep!, Newcastle pop duo The Gooch Palms, NSW surf pop duo Hockey Dad and Melbourne artist Sui Zhen.
They'll join their pals Gold Class, Marlon Williams & The Yarra Benders, Methyl Ethel and Demi Louise, who were announced late last month.
SXSW is due to kick off on Tuesday, 15 March 2016 in Austin, Texas, running for six days and bringing flocks of music industry experts, record label execs, music fans, Hollywood A-listers and more to its assortment of panels, workshops and showcases, in the hope of jumping on the bandwagon of the next big thing. Artists are invited to showcase from all corners of the globe, including Chile, Sweden, Israel, Japan and South Africa.
