High Tension Welcomes New Drummer: "She's A Bloody Shredder!"

Melbourne based hardcore band High Tension have bid farewell to former drummer and founding member Damian Coward and have welcomed new kid Lauren Hammel into the mix.

Having formerly played with Fear Like Us, the new member has received a lavishing of praise from the former drummer highlighting her more than capable ability — "She’s a bloody shredder!"

This exciting announcement from the band is coupled with the news of their most recent accolade, taking out the Best Heavy Metal Act award at The Age Music Victoria Awards last night. This prestigious honour saw the band beat out fellow Aussie acts King Parrot and Ne Obliviscaris.

Hammel will have a chance to settle in with her new band mates as High Tension get set to embark on upcoming shows at Scumfest 2015, a five date New Zealand tour and Laneway Festival 2016.
