Many more Aussies receive nods.
With just months to go until the 27th annual Pollstar Awards, the full list of nominees and categories for the 2016 event have been announced and it has been revealed that Australia's own Bluesfest has scored a nomination in the prestigious International Music Festival Of The Year category.
The Byron Bay spectacle has scored a nomination in the category for a fourth year running and the sixth time overall, alongside a number of the world's biggest events including the Glastonbury, Rock am Ring and Download festivals.
Festival director Peter Noble said of the news, "[It's] simply one of those moments in a career that you just go wow and thank you to our peers in the Industry who have voted for us so far."
"We are up against the Glastonbury Festival every year, so it is going to be pretty hard to win however we will give it a go, just like real Aussie battlers, we will never give up."

Meanwhile. Aussie promoter Michael Chugg of Chugg Entertainment was recognised in the International Promoter Of The Year category, where he will go up against promoters from Live Nation in both Belgium and the UK.
Similarly, Sydney born comedian Jim Jefferies has done his nation proud, receiving a nomination for Comedy Tour Of The Year which features heavyweight comics Amy Schumer and Kevin Hart.
Rock icons AC/DC and electro duo Empire Of The Sun also received nominations for the Road Warrior Of The Year category; Dale 'Opie' Skjerseth, who also works with The Rolling Stones, picked up the nomination for his efforts with AC/DC, while Jim Runge scored a nod for his work with Empire.
Next year's winners will be announced at the ceremony to be held on 12 February at the SF Masonic auditorium in San Francisco.
