After almost a decade since his last solo visit to Australian shores, New York based musician, producer and author Michael Gira has heeded the requests of Australian fans by announcing a show in Melbourne.
The former band member turned solo artist is set to enchant audiences with a one-off acoustic show on 8 March 2016 in Elisabeth Murdoch Hall at Melbourne Recital Centre.
Known as the driving force behind the band Swans and founder of Young Gods Records, Gira is recognised consistently across creative industries as one of the most important figures in contemporary music and art.
Michael will be be stripping back some old favourites from his former projects, as well as presenting a range of new solo material.
