Taylor Swift Sues Radio Host For Alleged Groping Incident

US pop singer Taylor Swift is suing radio host David Mueller for allegedly groping her, just a month after Mueller filed his own lawsuit against Swift, following claims he was wrongfully dismissed from his job due to the incident in question which took place in June 2013.

As ABC reports, the original lawsuit shows Mueller's claims that Swift's bodyguards and staff verbally abused him after he was accused of fondling the 25-year-old artist (then 23-years-old) while posing for a picture with her backstage at a Denver venue. 

In a response filed in a Denver court, Swift has hit back at the accusations and has alleged that Mueller reached under her skirt and touched her in an "intimate" place. 

The legal filing read, "Ms Swift was forced to begin a several-hour-long concert in front of 13,000 fans still distressed that she had been so inappropriately touched."

Swift is seeking punitive damages from Mueller and has said that any money would be given to charities that work to protect women. 

The response also said that if the verdict goes against Mueller that it, "will serve as an example to other women who may resist publicly reliving similar outrageous and humiliating acts".

Mueller has acknowledged that the alleged incident took place, though he accused a co-worker of committing the act, who allegedly boasted about it later.

The original lawsuit also read that the country radio station Mueller worked for, KYGO-FM, fired him two days after the alleged incident.

Mueller's lawyers are yet to respond to Swift's response.
