Early-bird tickets have sold out already

Punters are in for a treat of the highest (altitudinal) order this coming February when Mountain Sounds Festival returns to Mount Penang Parklands in NSW, with the annual event unveiling its 2016 line-up today, led by acclaimed international act Albert Hammond Jr, best known as the guitarist and keyboardist of The Strokes, as well as beloved local outfit The Jezabels.

Also signing on for February's festivities is a veritable smorgasbord of eclectic, engaging home-grown and overseas talent, including (in alphabetical order) Alpine, Art Vs Science, The Delta Riggs, Green Buzzard, Harts, Hockey Dad, Holy Holy, I Know Leopard, Jack Beat (UK), The Lazys, Nina Las Vegas, Slumberjack and more.

Next year marks the event's third birthday, with Mountain Sounds having truly come into its own at its successful second showing this year; little wonder, then, that early-bird tickets have already sold out.

First-release tickets are on sale now, however, so lest you not learn from history and sleep on this, may we advise moving quickly because Mountain Sounds — replete with camping, silent discos, curated parties, markets, pop-up bars, live art and installations — is an experience to remember.
