It seems relentless touring and fan interaction has paid off for Boy & Bear, with the new record from the Sydney indie-rock outfit, Limit Of Love, debuting at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
After topping the chart with 2013’s Harlequin Dream, it’s their second consecutive number one record on the ARIA Albums Chart. Their debut record, Moonfire, came in at #2 back in 2011.
They’ll take their new record on road in January with a run of impressive headline dates.
Boy & Bear’s rise to the top pushed triple j’s Like A Version 11 to second place, while US pop singer Selena Gomez debuted at #3 with her new record, Revival, knocking Aussie legends Cold Chisel to #4, a lower placing than predicted by midweek figures

Bluesfest-bound City & Colour – who will be in the country next week for intimate and exclusive Q&As and acoustic performances – landed at #5 with If I Should Go Before You.
Parkway Drive’s Ire make a small drop to #7 in their third week while fellow Aussie artist Reece Mastin landed at #12.
Other top 50 debuts include US rockers Mayday Parade’s Black Lines (32), Sydney-based indie act Little May with For The Company (40), country singer Toby Keith's 35 MPH Town (42), Sol3 Mio's On Another Note (45) and Art V Science's Off The Edge Of The Earth And Into Forever Forever (50).
