Poor ticket sales has been cited as the reason
Less than two weeks out from this year's festival, Soulfest 2015 promoters have announced that the R&B festival due to hit Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland has been canned.
Announced via Facebook, the festival promoters write, "It is with a heavy heart and great regret that Soulfest International advises that it has become necessary to cancel Soulfest and the subsequent sideshows, due to poor ticket sales."
Soulfest had slated in American R&B/soul icons Mary J Blige and Ms Lauryn Hill as headliners, with acts like Miguel, Jhene Aiko, De La Soul and Daniel Merriweather also set to perform.
Interestingly, three days ago Soulfest Asia 2015 announced that their festival, due to hit Kuala Lumpur on 17 October, "has been postponed, tentatively to December 2015".

They, however, cited "the inability of our company to secure the headline artists for Soulfest Asia as originally planned" for the change of date.
Soulfest experienced a number of criticisms and cancellations in 2014 for cancelling their local stage in Brisbane at the eleventh hour, as well as having to deal with Mos Def's no-show at Sydney Soulfest.
For all those who purchased tickets, refunds will be offered automatically for those who purchased using their credit cards. For those who purchased at an outlet, head back there and they should be able to offer you a refund too.
