You know, Perth snapper Adam Jackman-Moore may just have the greatest job on Earth

More The Internet More The Internet

West Australian dog photographer Adam Jackman-Moore is causing a sudden spike in delighted, muffled squeals everywhere (not to mention envy) after finding a way to combine three of his primary loves — pugs, dog photography and 1980s-'90s hip hop culture — into a singular art project: The Pug Life.

The premise is as simple as it sounds: Jackman-Moore, who has reams of experience under his belt when it comes to snapping canines as a member of The Dog Photographers, takes pugs (which, as Seven News reports, are sourced from the local Pugs in Perth community group), dresses them up like venerated rappers from the days of yore, takes wonderful re-creative photos inspired by iconic pics of the stars, and then enjoys the unfettered adulation of anyone who's ever so much as thought about asking any dog if they're a good boy.

The Pug Life is split into two categories of pups — the 'Dirty Dozen', featured in Jackman-Moore's Pug Life calendar and professionally shot in the style of hip hop stars, with recognisable names such as Snoop Pug, Notorious P.U.G, 2-Pug, Pugmaster Flash and RUN PUG among the ranks; and the 'Recruits' — community-submitted pugs of variable street cred with unique monikers such as MC Headtilt, Lil Baztard, Maisy 'The Tooth' Flintoff and, er, Munchkin. You can even apply to join the crew.

So far, the 42-year-old artist has unveiled nine of his Dirty Dozen pups, with new additions still to come over the next few weeks.
