In Sydney and Melbourne
Kentucky alt-country export Sturgill Simpson has announced a coupling of east coast headline shows this morning, off the back off his upcoming stint at Australia's biggest blues and roots celebration, Byron Bay Bluesfest, next March.
With a stack of accolades to call his own — including a Grammy nomination, slot at Bonnaroo and appearance on a number of Best Albums of 2014 lists for Metamodern Sounds In Country Music — Simpson will be taking to Sydney's Metro Theatre on Tuesday, 22 March and Melbourne's 170 Russell on Wednesday, 23 March.
You can, of course, also catch him at Bluesfest from March 24 to 28. Head to theGuide for full details on Sturgill Simpson's headline dates and to the Bluesfest festival tab for more information on the festival.
