Big West Festival's 'OPEN HOUSE'

The biennial Big West Festival is back this year, with HOUSE - a theatre, social space prototype a soon to be home for 2016.

HOUSE will be the epicentre of the community-based event, hosting a range of arts, theatre and music performances in Footscray.

Running from 20 — 28 Nov, the Big West Festival will showcase their infrastructure HOUSE as inspiration from a housing thread that sparked conversation in previous festivals. The structure was designed by architects, contributed by those that have been homeless, and built by Monash University students.

Theatre performances, local works, public art and a range of musical showcases are among the 70 community events hosted by the festival organisation (50 will be free).
