Melbourne hard rock act Arcane Saints have announced they have recruited a new bassist in the lead up to their four final shows of 2015.

Drew Dedman, former bassist of veteran nu metal band Superheist will join the line-up and the experienced musician says he is excited about joining one of his favourite local groups.

"It's not often you get an opportunity to join a great band, it's even rarer when they happen to be one of your favourite local bands," Dedman said in a statement.

"I'm a huge fan of big rock choruses, the strength of the song writing on the last EP was incredible. I am very excited about being part of this music and the journey forward."
