Following a tragic car crash last week that claimed the life of the band's stage manager Shane Cooper and left their drummer Mick Skelton in a coma, good news has come out of the Thirsty Merc camp — that Skelton is recovering well and has woken from his coma.
Sarah McLeod of The Superjesus has taken to her Facebook to provide updates on Skelton, offering up an excited post yesterday stating, "Last night, Mick woke up and the breathing tubes came out!"

On 25 September, she wrote, "Scans/tests carried out on head and spine all appear to be clear. No other breaks and things.. We just need to wait and hold our breath and feel positive about everything while he sleeps."
