Sia Releases First Single From Forthcoming Album

The countdown to Aussie pop artist Sia's new album is on with today's release of her brand new track, Alive, set to feature as the first single from the forthcoming record, This Is Acting.

The new tune is co-written by the Adelaide-born musician, UK songstress Adele and Canadian songwriter Tobias Jesso Jr, though interestingly, it was initially intended to feature on Adele's forthcoming album. 

Sia's new song opens up a fresh chapter in her storied career following this week's news that her acclaimed 2014 album, 1000 Forms Of Fear now occupies a full quarter of the Carlton Dry Independent Music Charts' top 20. 

Tracks from the record including Chandelier, Elastic Heart and Big Girls Cry have all achieved platinum status in the country and the album's success saw Sia score ARIA Award wins and a slew of Grammy nominations. 

No release date has been confirmed for This Is Acting just yet, though we can only assume it won't be too far away with the release of the album's first song — give it a listen below.
