Crew member has sadly died
Australian pop rock act Thirsty Merc were involved in a fatal car crash on their way to a gig yesterday in Victoria where one of their crew members tragically died in the accident.
As news.com.au reports, the crash occurred at an intersection at Streatham at around 2.30pm. The deceased crew member is believed to be the band's stage manager, Shane Cooper.
Drummer Mick Skelton has also been seriously injured in the crash and was flown to Alfred Hospital where he is currently in intensive care, while the driver of the car is also being treated for injuries at Ballarat Hospital.
It is understood the remaining members of the band were travelling to the concert in a separate car and are not injured.
