Well, you know what they say about what it means if the music's too loud

Sexagenarian Aussie rock legends AC/DC could never be accused of being too old to handle someone else's music volumes, considering the veteran act themselves were the subject of several noise complaints in Chicago during a concert at the city's renowned Wrigley Field last week.

According to The Chicago Tribune, the band were making their debut appearance at the stadium — usually home to the city's Cubs baseball team — on Tuesday night, playing well within the venue's pre-curfew (11pm) period, with the show running between 8pm and 10pm, according to reports.

Regardless, the office of Alderman Tom Tunney received "between 15 and 20" messages from nearby residents — predominantly living north and north-west of the stadium — about the concert, "which included stage-level pyrotechnics", according to Tunney's chief of staff, Bennett Lawson.

Although two of the messages were apparently positive (and it must be a nice change for call-centre operators to hear a friendly voice), the majority were reportedly noise complaints. \

A small percentage were residents concerned about "malfunctions with the Cubs Hotline", though team spokesman Julian Green said the company was unaware of any problems with the facility.

AC/DC's Rock Or Bust world tour hits its final date in Canada tomorrow, performing at Vancouver's BC Place on 22 September, before rounding out the North American leg of their tour in San Francisco (25 September) and Los Angeles (28 September).

The Rock Or Bust tour heads to Australia in November, getting under way in Sydney on 4 November at ANZ Stadium Australia. See theGuide or check The Music App for more information.
