Jeremy Neale cancelled his pre-BIGSOUND showcase due to a burst appendix leaving him hospitalised in LA. Get well soon.
Signage seen falling onto the head of one delegate as they were ordering lunch at a local eatery. He won't be suing despite the establishment still charging him for his lunch.
The Belligerents' band member White Stag got stung by a bee less than a day before the band's BIGSOUND showcase. That's gotta hurt.

As asserted at the Festivals: It Ain't The Size That Matters panel.
From last night's pre-BIGSOUND showcases all the talk is about… Gold Class, Gold Class and ummm… Gold Class.
One of The Ocean Party aggressively (well, as aggressive as The Ocean Party can get) dedicated one track to his 'neighbour who keeps ringing to complain about his dog'.
...But it seems the lead singer of a very well known Aus band of yesteryear (not that yesteryear) is finally working on a solo album.
Everybody looked at Parkway Drive and tried to emulate their sound but no one ever thought to emulate their work ethic.
