ARIA midweeks action.
Their second studio album Twelvefour has just been released and it looks to be a winner for Melbourne indie rockers The Paper Kites as they are now set for the country's highest album debut on this week's ARIA Charts.
The new record not only received a glowing review from us here at theMusic but it is set for a top 10 entry and looks to beat out a slew of other Aussie talent including Last Dinosaurs' Wellness and veteran act Icehouse's live album, Icehouse In Concert both aiming for finishes in the top 20.
It will also mark The Paper Kites highest debut in their career, with their first album, States, coming in at #17.
Meanwhile Canadian R&B singer The Weeknd is looking to crack the top three on the Albums Chart, with his third record, Beauty Behind The Madness, alongside UK indie band Foals who are also in the running with What Went Down.
