The royal marriage of comedy are heading out on a national tour
On-set-worst-couple and real-life-best-couple Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally have announced, to the unanimous screeches of Australian sitcom lovers, that they'll be heading down under for the Summer Of 69: No Apostrophe comedy tour early next year.
The honey-voiced Offerman, who you'll know as the stoic Ron Swanson, and the shrieking Mullally, who plays Swanson's second wife Tammy Two on Parks & Recreation as well as the sassy Karen Walker on the much-loved 2000s sitcom Will & Grace, will take to the stage together for a show encompassing songs, probably some insight into their sex life and, as the press notes claim, "an astonishing final act of completion".
Mullally says of the show: "Like comedic sex-ed. I think the show will be rather graphic so, you know, don’t bring your 7-year-old, but we hope to be very informative. It’s very all-American, really. It’s going to be a variety show comprised of talking, singing and sex acts."
The stand-up tour kicks off at Sydney's State Theatre on Friday, 29 January, before heading to Hobart, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane.
