The Brisbane band are headed to Australia's favourite heavy-music festival
Brisbane-bred alt-rock vets Dead Letter Circus have been confirmed on the 2016 Soundwave Festival line-up, it has been announced on triple j today.
The local band follows in the mighty footsteps of Bullet For My Valentine aboard the official roster for next year's event, which is held in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne across the pre-Australia Day weekend (and the holiday itself).
The news just keeps getting better for the quintet, who are in a race for the week's highest album debut on the ARIA Charts, ironically enough, against the Welsh heavyweights with their new album, Aesthesis.
Previously, fellow Brisbane heroes Violent Soho accepted Maddah's Twitter-based invitation to play Soundwave 2016, with other names bandied about at the time including Dune Rats, The Smith Street Band, Kingswood, Twenty One Pilots, Slaves and Soen.
