Soundwave promoter sheds light on next year's event.
Known for being quite the Twitter fiend, Soundwave promoter AJ Maddah has given fans new insight into the 2016 festival, hinting via social media that there would be less bands this time around, as well as a focus on longer sets for all the acts.
In response to a question from a follower who asked if there would be any punk rock acts on the supposed 70-act line-up, Maddah responded: "Not 70. Quality over quantity is the new order."
Soon after, Maddah confirmed the new format for the festival by tweeting, "It's all about better bands and longer sets."
Fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement for the first set of artists set to be announced on the January tour and proving that the line-up is just about sorted Maddah again tweeted that the Soundwave team are currently waiting to hear back from their headliner acts in regards to whether any spots on the bill will be open at all.
