Something for absolutely everyone.
Provocative comedy, critically-acclaimed theatre, interactive dance productions and more lead the 2015 Melbourne Fringe line-up.
The eclectic program will seize control of Melbourne from Wednesday 16 September until Sunday 4 October and will leave no stone unturned as it offers something for everyone.
The comedy bill is overflowing with Aussie favourites and international talent, from Luke Ryan’s A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Chemo to the return of UK star Stephen K Amos, that aspect is sure to incite a wealth of conflicting emotions.
Anne Edmonds brings an encore season of her hit comedy show You Know What I’m Like to the festival, and things will get unpredictable at Phukclub’s Late Night Comedy Carnage, where audience participation is a must.

Dance highlights include As Much Again, which is a double bill choreographed by Eve Newton-Johnson and Sarah Ronnie, analysing how society dictates people must ask when things go badly, while Tim Podesta and Andy Howitt’s Of Mice and Men gives a new spin to the John Steinbeck classic tale.
It wouldn’t be fringe without some high-quality cabaret, and La Petite Mort will take rock, pop and rap and shape it to fit a film noir experience through sultry singers and a live jazz band. Hits from Nick Cave, Amy Winehouse, Taylor Swift and more will get a jazz makeover.
F(Y)UCK.SEXY? may have the best name on the festival bill and is a co-created ritual cross-dressing as performance art, encompassing dance, noise, visual art and herbal medicine.
Film at Fringe is looking better than ever as Fringe Hub moves into its third year, allowing a range of filmmakers the opportunity to showcase music videos, documentaries, short films, animation and digital art at North Melbourne Town Hall – and the best part is, it’s free entry.
The list goes on and on, so head to the Melbourne Fringe website for the full program, grab your calendar and credit card and turn August into the best month of the year.
