Avicii Hits Back At Noel Gallagher; Calls Him A 'Bitter Ol Timer Rocker'

In what is shaping up to be one of the biggest music feuds of the year, Swedish DJ Avicii has slammed Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher for comments the British singer made about him recently. 

As NME reports, leading up to his headline set at Scottish music festival T In The Park, which Avicii was also performing at, Gallagher said: "I don’t know anything about Avicii."

"I don’t wish to know anything about Avicii. It sounds like an artist from the Renaissance period."

He went on to say that he would "save" the festival following Avicii's performance, who hit the stage one day prior to Gallagher. 

However, it clearly struck a chord with Avicii who responded to the jabs via an Instagram post, in which he shared a popular clip from South Park, seemingly mocking the veteran songwriter. 

"Sounds like you’re playing the wrong festival if you’re at the same time dissing its entire audiences music taste you silly sausage!" he captioned the post. 

The 25-year-old producer continued: "what is really "sad" is hearing a old time musician like yourself confessing so bluntly and openly to not having an open mind to new music by dissing shit u havnt even heard , I really didnt think someone whose whole image is being witty would turn all stereotype 'bitter ol timer rocker' like that lol." 

"I would actually love to preview you my album song by song and hear your honest feedback but I dare you t say the same thing afterwards."

Knowing Gallagher's short fuse and candid opinions, we can only assume it will be just a matter of time before he hits back.
