They've held the #1 position for three straight weeks on the ARIA Albums Chart, but it looks like Aussie legends John Farnham and Olivia Newton-John have a real fight on their hands as psychedelic-rock outfit Tame Impala look for a top three finish this week.

The Perth-founded band's third studio album, Currents, debuts this week and will give the duo's live concert record, Two Strong Hearts a real run for its money.

If they are set to crack the top three it will cap off a huge week for the quintet, not only because they head to fan-favourite festival Splendour In The Grass this weekend, but also because their previous two albums debuted at #4, making Currents their highest ranking album to date.

Meanwhile, British electro duo The Chemical Brothers will shake things up as they also look to smash into the top three with their eighth album, Born In The Echoes, their first record in five years.
