It's not them, it's you!

More The Meanies More The Meanies

Melbourne pub punk rockers The Meanies have announced they'll be dropping their first album in 21 years — their first since 1994's 10% Weird and Televolution.

The quartet have been kicking around since 1989, going on hiatus briefly from 1995-1998, but now they've got the impending album release to keep them occupied. It's Not Me, It's You will hit shelves on 25 September.

Wally Meanie explained that Cosmic Psychos inspired the band to get their acts together — "The renaissance that our pals in the Cosmic Psychos were having inspired us to get off our arses and put something new out. What the hell, it couldn't hurt right? Besides, we were getting pretty sick of playing the same set for the last 21 years!"
