Get into that Disco Inferno

Western Australian camping festival Southbound experienced a cracker of a year this year, so they've announced an extra night of revelry in 2016 — expanding the event to a four-day, three-night festival.

Southbound will be held from Friday, 8 January to Sunday, 10 January at Sir Stewart Bovell Park in Busselton, with the shiny new Friday Night Fever night added — with the theme Disco Inferno — to allow campers a sneak-preview of the site and to set up camp without having to fight for a prime spot, after which they can boogie 'til dawn.

The festival will host 15,000 people in its dedicated camping grounds, with punters able to set up shop beside their cars like last year as well as a brand new Base Camp area consisting of a circus-style marquee where you can lounge in the shade and enjoy a special arts program.

In true boutique festival fashion, food trucks, a craft beer bar and a wine and champagne bar will provide the needed food and bevvies over the weekend, with The Coconut Club providing a sandy haven to drink spiced rum to your heart's content.
