Aussie music and arts organisation The Seed Fund have announced this year's grant categories to coincide with applications opening today.
The Seed Fund enters its 11th year in 2015 as it continues to support emerging musicians artists and art workers and will take place in Melbourne this November.
This year's categories include the Professional Management Support, which is aimed at managers who have previously attended the Seed Management Workshop. Up to three opportunities will be available and grants of up to $5000 will be given.
Aussie performing and recording artists are encouraged to apply for the It's All About The Song grant in which up to $3500 will be given and three opportunities will also be available. Renowned music makers Steven Schram and John Castle are just some of the producers who will be involved in this project after their work with popular national acts such as Vance Joy and San Cisco.

Up to 25 opportunities will be available for the Management Workshop grant, while the value of the project is worth $55000 dollars — The project is aimed at managers working with artists in their establishment phase.
Meanwhile, the Bush Bands Business continues its partnership with Music NT in which applicants will embark on a three-day intensive aimed at Central Desert bush bands. Mentors will work with musicians to guide them through over 50 workshops and it will conclude with the Bush Bands Bash concert in Alice Springs.
The Song Cycles Inbound program enters its fifth year with Seed Fund and it offers urban music industry professionals the opportunity to travel to remote Australian Indigenous community festivals and explore new talent.
Finally, the Support For The Asylum Seekers Resource Centre Music Group program is a new initiative from Seed Fund to coincide with a new partnership with the ASRC.
Up to $8000 for masterclasses and equipment will be used support the ASRC Music Group by funding the purchase of new instruments and maintaining existing instruments.
Applications open today and will close on Friday, Jul 31.
