Another Suspect Arrested Over Alleged Attack On Transgender Musician

Nine news have reported that police have charged a second man in relation to the alleged bashing of transgender musician Stephanie McCarthy at Newtown's Town Hall Hotel last weekend.

Police carried out a search warrant of a Balmain address on Friday, having already arrested one suspect on Tuesday afternoon.

Following the search police charged a 22 year-old man with recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, affray and possessing a prohibited drug.

Both suspects will appear in Newtown local court on July 9.
